OISE schools are located in cities of historic and academic importance.  The school is centrally located allowing participants easy access to the cultural riches and the green open spaces of the city.

 

 

Cambridge

Cambridge is a city on the River Cam in eastern England, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating to 1209.  University colleges include King's famed for its choir and towering Gothic chapel, as well as Trinity, founded by Henry VIII, and St John's, with its 16th-century Great Gate.  

 

Oxford

Oxford, a city in central southern England, revolves around its prestigious university, established in the 12th century.  The architecture of its 38 colleges in the city's medieval centre led poet Matthew Arnold to call it the 'city of dreaming spires'.  University College and Magdalen College are on the High Street, which runs from Carfax Tower to Magdalen Bridge.

 

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is Scotland's compact, hilly capital.  It has a medieval Old Town and the elegant Georgian New Town.  Looking down on the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland's crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers.  Arthur's Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views.

 

Newbury

Newbury is an historic market town about an hour from London and also within easy reach of Oxford, Winchester and Bath. Dating from the 11th century, the town has a population of around 30,000 and boasts a beautiful town centre with a picturesque canal and superb facilities including a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants. In addition there is a modern local cinema, excellent theatres and a whole host of sporting opportunities.

 

Heidelberg

Heidelberg is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Its fairy-tale setting has captured hearts and minds for centuries and many of the world’s most famous writers, poets and philosophers have been inspired by its landscape and architecture. Open air orchestral concerts are a particular favourite with locals and tourists alike and take place in the magnificent castle grounds.

 

Segovia

Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985, is an incomparable place of study. 90 km from Madrid, this attractive and dynamic city is home to some of Spain's most interesting examples of architecture, all evidence of the city's  sumptuous past, where different cultures meet. The bustling streets offer museums, boutiques and cafes allowing students to immerse themselves in local Spanish life.
