    Participants develop flexibility in the use of the
    German language by expanding their lexical and
    grammatical range. The focus is on accuracy. The
    skills learned in this unit form the basis for the
    other units, as learners are provided with the
    necessary linguistic tools to express themselves
    clearly, precisely, and eloquently.

    • Confidence in oral expression

    Participants acquire the skills necessary for oral
    expression, with a focus on successful
    communication and articulation of complex
    content, discourse, and arguments, clear and
    adequate pronunciation, and varied and precise
    use of structures and vocabulary. The
    development of compensation strategies also
    enables participants to maintain their selfconfidence
    and communicative competence when
    confronted with linguistic obstacles.

    • Strategies for effective reading and listening

    By confronting a variety of text types, examrelevant
    skills are developed, in particular: speed
    reading, understanding text structure, critical
    analysis and identification of opinions and
    attitudes, grasping the main ideas of a text,
    identifying discourse markers and keywords.

    • Eloquent written expression

    In addition to writing the types of texts relevant to
    the exam, students will practice identifying textspecific
    characteristics and expanding and varying
    their own style. The focus will be on clear and
    logical text structure, as well as planning, time
    management, precision, and accuracy.

    Conducting mock exams under exam conditions

Half-board homestay

Accommodation with a host family includes half board for all students. All participants are accommodated in single rooms. Breakfast and a hot dinner are taken together with the host family. Hosts are families with children, but also single people or retirees. Each host family is carefully selected and checked.
