In addition to Business English for professionals, OISE Bristol offers tuition in exam preparation and other specialist areas including English for the Aviation, Nursing, Engineering, Military and Maritime industries.

There are many opportunities to give presentations in a supportive and friendly atmosphere, organise projects cooperatively, socialise, and learn the skills necessary to live and work in an international environment. The Tutorial is an extremely effective method of language tuition based on the one-to-one format. This allows the course programme to be tailored to the individual’s needs and specialised areas, making it ideal for making fast progress and achieving specific goals in a short period of time. Students can choose between 3,4, 5 and 6, 60 minute lessons a day with the Tutorial Programme, or combine afternoon tutorials with morning group classes as part of the Bristol Combination Programme.Learn more
The Octorial™ Programme is a full time course of 27.5 hours per week, optimised over 40 years of language coaching experience to facilitate an effective path towards a higher English level. OISE Bristol organises three social activities per week in order to give students a culturally enriching experience and the chance to unwind and enjoy themselves in an international setting.
Each activity is free, voluntary and supervised by an OISE staff member, who is responsible for overseeing students’ levels of participation and safety.
Popular activities at OISE Bristol include local museum and gallery visits, walking tours, boat trips, indoor and outdoor sports, international lunches and trips to iconic places in the south west (Salisbury, Bath, Glastonbury, Cardiff).
Half-board homestay accommodation, conveniently located for buses to Bristol City Centre, is available all year round. Living in a homestay is an good way to improve your English, experience British life and develop great friendships. Hosts are selected for their welcoming attitude and comfortable homes, which provide students a safe and comfortable place to relax and study.
The option of residential accommodation is available in July and August, with a supplementary fee. This consists of centrally located, modern, 5 and 6 bedroom flats, with shared living areas, kitchens and en-suite bathrooms.
OISE Bristol staff are also able to advise on local hotels and other private self-catering options and make a reservation on the student’s behalf.
Bristol is well connected to key destinations within the UK, across Europe and around the world via good public and commercial transport links. Central London can be reached in less than two hours by train.
OISE Bristol is happy to assist with travel options and can also arrange a taxi meeting service on behalf of the student to and from Bristol Airport, London Heathrow, Gatwick Airport and Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station.

The British Council inspected and accredited OISE Bristol in September 2016. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching, welfare, and care of under 18s and accredits organisations which meet the overall standard in each area inspected (see www.britishcouncil.org/education/accreditation for details).
This private language school offers courses in general and professional English for adults (17+) and for closed groups of adults (16+).
The inspection report noted a need for improvement in publicity.
