General information
Llandovery is a small market town situated in the heart of Wales, lying
between the rugged scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the
gentler upper Towy Valley. The OISE school is set in 55 acres of grounds
and has excellent sports, recreational and fitness facilities, including
a nine-hole golf course. Our school also enjoys new state-of-the-art
classroom facilities.

Accommodation
• Accommodation is in dormitories which sleep 2 to 6 in
a room. Special care is taken to put students of a similar
age in the same rooms.
• Meals are provided in the school dining hall. Special dietary requirements can be considered and a vegetarian option is always available.

The morning lessons are designed to develop accuracy
in the language and cover:
• 09.30 to 11.00 – the
grammatical structures of the language – vocabulary building
• 11.00 to 11.30 – morning break
• 11.30 to
13.00 – formal comprehension training exercises – structured
expression training exercises:

to encourage fluency and a spontaneous use of the language:

To relax after concentrating on language learning

Laundry
A laundry service will be provided for students in residential accommodation.
Although bed linen is provided in the student residence, students are
asked to bring their own towels.
Clothes/sports equipment
Students are recommended to prepare for good and bad weather and bring
enough warm clothes. British summers are not very predictable! Students should bring suitable sportswear, whitesoled
footwear for sports halls, swimwear, towel and a sports bag.
