information
Bredon School is situated in the beautiful Gloucestershire Cotswolds,
approximately 60 km from Oxford and 170 km from London. The nearest town,
Worcester, is just 30 km away. Worcester is a picturesque and unspoilt
town with plenty of places to visit, including the impressive cathedral,
which contains the tomb of King John (of Robin Hood fame). The school
is set in extensive grounds with excellent facilities (outdoor swimming
pool, sports hall, assault course and climbing wall).

Accommodation
• In the student residence, accommodation is in small dormitories and twin rooms.
• Meals are provided in the school dining hall. Special dietary requirements can be considered and a vegetarian option is always available.

| Morning programme 09.30 to 13.00

The morning lessons are designed to develop accuracy
in the language and cover: • 09.30 to 11.00 – the
grammatical structures of the language – vocabulary building
• 11.00 to 11.30 – morning break • 11.30 to
13.00 – formal comprehension training exercises – structured
expression training exercises: essay, presentations, explanations.

| Lunch is taken at the school in the form of salads

Afternoons are devoted to workshops designed
to encourage fluency and a spontaneous use of the language: •
guided debate practice • presentations • exchange
of ideas and experiences • active listening practice

To relax after concentrating on language learning
pupils take part in games and sports activities; the range of which

Laundry
A laundry service will be provided for students. Although bed linen is
provided in the student residence, students are asked to bring their own
towels.
Clothes/sports
equipment
Students are recommended to prepare for good and bad weather and bring
enough warm clothes. British summers are not very predictable! Students
should bring suitable sportswear, white-soled footwear for sports halls,
swimwear, towel and a sports bag.
