Motivating first step

The aim of the programme for children in Taunton and Llandovery is to give them an early advantage for the rest of their lives: a love of the English language at an age when it can make a real difference, not only for the great motivation factor but the enhanced capacity to absorb the language in the earlier years.

The lessons are lively, interesting and, above all, fun. Pupils are encouraged to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills using carefully selected texts, audio tapes, games, role-play activities and songs.

OISE, recognising that the safety and well-being of the children in its care is of the utmost importance, provides:

• 24-hour supervision
• all teaching staff live on campus
• no child is allowed out at any time unless accompanied by an adult.
