The OISE Spanish Summer School in Segovia welcomes students between the ages of 14 and 17 who wish to immerse themselves in the language and culture of this exciting country. OISE believes Segovia to be an ideal location for a Spanish language course, owing to its quintessentially Spanish nature and the purity of the Spanish which is spoken thereabouts.

Dating back to the Roman Empire, Segovia is undoubtedly one the most beautiful towns in Spain. The legacy of the Roman occupation is still present today in the form of the aqueduct which serves as the main entrance to the historic quarter of the city. This marvel of engineering was constructed from blocks of stone from the nearby Sierra de Guadarrama mountains without the use of mortar.

Behind the city walls lies a myriad of houses. churches and towers all built in the iconic honey-coloured stone. Across from the main square, the Plaza Mayor towers the Cathedral which dates back to the 16th century. Another notable landmark is the Alcazar Fortress, fairytale-like in appearance, which boasts an 80m high tower, 12 turrets and a moat, together with a fantastic view!

Segovia is also home to hearty dishes such as casseroles, suckling pig and giant broad beans making a stay there a feast in more ways than one!

The OISE school is situated within walking distance from the town centre, with a warm family atmosphere.
