Tuition & Training Centre
OISE Oxford is the original school that pioneered the coaching method used in all OISE schools today. The school has fantastic academic facilities including
a lecture theatre, computer lab, areas for self study and project work and plenty of classrooms. The school spans three floors and includes modern
furnishings that compliment the original exposed wooden beams and windows throughout.
The teaching staff at OISE Oxford are very experienced in their specific areas, most of whom have graduated themselves from universities like Oxford and
Cambridge, and guide students through their learning goals in school and beyond. Students receive tailored tuition to ensure they achieve their maximum
potential in their chosen exam such as IELTS, TOEFL and CAE, and are also given extensive guidance on university application processes. Students receive
advice choosing suitable UK universities, filling out their application on UCAS and writing their personal statement. They receive letters of recommendation
from their tutors. This additional support from academic staff has over the years helped a large number of OISE students to get into universities across
the country, where they are now continuing to work hard and achieve their goals and ambitions.
OISE Oxford offers similar assistance to students wishing to pursue an internship or to work in the UK for a period after their course. Tutors assist with
developing their CV in English, writing letters of application and preparing them for interview situations. They also focus on developing the language
skills they will need to work successfully in their chosen area once they have secured a position.
Professionals are matched with experienced tutors in their field of study, and a course is designed according to their needs in a number of specific industries.
OISE Oxford is found in the heart of the city at the very centre of all that is to see and do. The school is situated above Oxford’s busy covered market,
full of traditional English crafts and locally-sourced produce. Go punting 5 minutes away from the school in tranquil Christchurch Meadows, stroll
around and discover the historic university colleges that frame the streets, and sample the café culture, old pubs and street musicians that enchant
them. The Ashmolean Museum has world-class exhibits from Ancient Greece to Cézanne, Pitt Rivers features artifacts from Captain Cook's voyages, and
Modern Art Oxford shows off the region's cutting edge creativity. Oxford truly has the benefits of a big city without the hustle and bustle, making
OISE Oxford the preferred choice for academics and professionals of high calibre wanting to focus on tuition.
The Social Programme at OISE allows students to experience all aspects of Oxford life and visit all the attractions. Listen to Evensong at Christ Church
Cathedral, visit the Ashmolean Museum, have a traditional English afternoon tea or have a pint in the pub where J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis frequented,
tour the Bodleian Library dating from 1602, tour the colleges and go on trips to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Oxford is well connected to London by train and by coach. Train services to London Paddington take 1 hour, and coaches to central London as well as Heathrow,
Gatwick and Luton airports take between 90 minutes and 2 hours. Other towns of interest can be reached from Oxford Train Station.
OISE Oxford carefully selects hosts that are friendly, welcoming and enjoy the company of foreign students. Hosts tend to live outside the city centre
a short bus-ride away from the school. In the summer months students also have the opportunity to stay in a university college, and the training centre
is able to give advice on local trusted hotels if desired.
"When I came here I actually just wanted to take an exam for my future, and then I realised that there is more than just an exam, because I went into a different segment of the language and I was interested in it, so my aim then was to really make the most out of my time here."
