2015 has started off on a good footing!
OISE is happy to announce three new destinations for prestigious language courses this summer. The programmes are designed for 14-17 year olds who are looking to build an early portfolio of English or French language skills as well as confidence and accuracy in a foreign language.
Those wanting to improve their English, students will have the choice of two fantastic new course destinations: San Francisco on the beautiful Berkeley University Campus or in Mont Tremblant, the famous ski resort, Canada.
For young learners interested in learning French in Paris with OISE we have an excellent new location in a typical, Parisian residence in the heart of the city with intensive courses, exceptional facilities and a very popular social programme.
In all new schools the high OISE standard levels are maintained focusing on rigorous, intensive and effective language courses with small classes of maximum eight per tutor. As always OISE distinguishes itself from other offers by making sure the emphasis at all times is on language learning and that the groups, classes and courses are as international and mixed as possible. This proven approach ensures that all participants make significant and lasting improvements to their language skills through a truly unique experience abroad, giving them advantages beyond school, with significant benefits for university enrollment and employment chances in the future.
OISE Mont Tremblant, Montreal, Canada
This exclusive course for 14-17 year olds is only available to eight selected applicants per year. Only 130 km from Montreal, the programme offers complete immersion in the language through exceptional training and accommodation set in beautiful ski chalets in the midst of the Canadian mountains. All lessons and communication at Mont Tremblant will be in English at all times. Thanks to its great location, the course also offers a unique array of outdoor activities after the lessons including canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, swimming in the stunning surrounding lakes and excursions into the famous Mont Tremblant forests. The students also have the opportunity to visit the larger surrounding towns such as Ottawa and Montreal. All activities at the language residence and during excursions are fully supervised by qualified OISE staff.
OISE San Francisco, United States
This English course takes place on the prestigious Berkeley University Campus just outside San Francisco. Designed for 14-17 year olds this intensive English programme provides a unique and unforgettable summer experience in an authentically American university environment. Classrooms as well as dorms are located on campus with all the best facilities from fast WIFI, communal rooms with pool tables to 80 acres of stunning gardens. The campus is located between downtown San Francisco and two of the most beautiful nature reserves in California. In the late afternoon, the evening and on weekends there are a range of supervised recreational activities from sports to cultural classes, designed to encourage using English in a variety of contexts. On the weekends there are organised trips to the vibrant city of San Francisco, to the Raging Waters Park, nature reserve trails or to Santa Cruz.
OISE Paris, France
Set in the heart of the French capital, OISE Paris is offering summer courses for teenagers between 14 and 17 years of age. Both accommodation and the course are held in a magnificent historic building in Le Marais, the elegant and refined areas of the 4th Arrondissement. Le Marais is the ideal starting point for exploring the Paris and all it has to offer, especially for young people. A rich social programme also enables the students to immerse themselves in the French culture and to practice their French with different people and in different settings. On weekends there are organised day-trips to Versailles or Euro Disney. For the duration of the course, including during recreational activities, exclusively French is spoken to make sure that the participants are surrounded by the language from their arrival until departure.
