Cambridge Exams for University Students

Today students and young adults face one of the most competitive environments to both study and find work in. Throughout the training process and making the transition into employment can be very challenging, even for highly skilled students and young professionals. Therefore having an internationally recognised English certificate to your name can help your CV stand out from the crowd. It can also become a key element in the tough selection for awarding international scholarships or enrollment for prominent graduate schools abroad. 

OISE has designed a specific programme for university students who wish to prepare for the Cambridge First Certificate Exam - FCE and the Cambridge Advanced Exam - CAE.  The programme, taught in small groups (maximum 8 students per class), focuses on preparing each student for the different sections of the exam. 

The course runs for 8 weeks and is divided into 30 hours of classes per week. Through specific exercises and previous test papers the individual elements of the exam structure are analysed and practiced to complete a highly confident level. The tutors prepare training to develop grammar and vocabulary as well as key listening, communication and pronunciation skills, no matter what the starting level is. Keeping to the strict exam time limits during the test exercises ensures that the students are well prepared on every level and able to plan their material within the designated time. Good time management is vital for success in all the Cambridge Exams!

The exam training with OISE is also complemented by communication workshops in which students work on presentation skills, discussions, debates and confident communication. 

OISE Bristol offers a specific preparation course for all Cambridge Exams and is an officially accredited test centre. However, all OISE Centres offer the possibility to take individual tutorials in which preparation for any international English exams including Cambridge Exams, IELTS, BULATS and more.
