What does 2015 have in store?
This week we welcomed back our students to OISE Bristol for the start of 2015.This is the time of year when people make New Years Resolutions, starting something new, taking up a new hobby, learning a language, giving up bad habits like smoking, taking a new career path or improving personal well-being and health.
However, are these goals achievable and long-lasting or are the hopes and ambitions difficult to sustain and drift away as the year pans out?
Every week the participants at OISE work on a group project which they present to the rest of the school at the end of the week. This week the students will be preparing presentations around the topic of individual aspirations and goals for the year ahead. In groups they will do research, prepare and present with a power point presentation. This activity is a great way to practice public speaking, refine body language and learn to be persuasive and convincing in a foreign language. Trained tutors are always at hand with tips and tricks to help each participant along the way.
